About Us
Sterling Lutheran has served the community since the early 80's when Pastor James Pearson began holding services.
During the 90's the congregation moved from a portable home when they constructed their present facility. The work was aided by volunteers from Alaska Mission for Christ.
The congregation was served from 2017-2022 by Pastor Bill Hilgendorf.
Pastor Craig Schultz of Palmer has been attending to the needs of the people since April of 2023.
Pastor Craig Schultz
Since his ordination in 1975, Pastor Schultz has served congregations in Indiana, Michigan, Nebraska and North Carolina. He has been in Palmer since 2019 where he cared for St. John Lutheran and been working in the Peninsula with several Lutheran Churches since April.Â
